My Dog Maeve 2

I have an awesome French Bulldog named Maeve. She loves chasing squirrels, chewing up Dad's golfballs, and going to work with my dad. I know I already did a post about Maeve back when I first started my blog but I wanted to do another one. Maeve has a perfectly round circle on her back. She is the best dog ever. Do you have a dog?

Guide Writing Contest.

Guess what? I'm entering the Guide essay contest! Actually I started it quite a while ago... But today I'm sending it in. It was a lot of fun! My story might actually make it into Guide magazine or onto the Guide website. Have you ever read Guide?

The 10k Race.

Last January I did a 10k. A 10k is 6.2 miles. The 10k was called the hot chocolate run. It was a great race. My mom, one of her friends, and I did it. I finished ahead of them with a time of 1:05.23 One hour five minutes and twenty three seconds. It was a great race. I love running. Have you ever ran a 10k?

A Basketball Game.

On Sunday night a basketball game took place... It was the Heat vs. the Bulls. Since it is Summer break Dad let us stay up and watch the WHOLE game. It was a long game that went from 8:30 to 11:00p.m. So it was Josh, his friend Gage and me watching the game. Josh and I were going for the Bulls and Gage was going for the Heat. It was a great game... But unfortunately the Bulls lost. (NOOOOOO!!!!!) Do you like basketball?

Trail Running!

Last Sunday my dad and I went trail running! In my opinion trail running is much more fun and exciting then running on a road. So we went to bent creek to meet with a group from our church to go trail running, and no one was there!!! So it was just daddio and me running on the trails of bent creek. We had a great time and ran over 5 miles! (We jogged the whole way without stopping!) Also the weather was great and the scenery was beautiful! I love trail running! Have you ever been trail running? P.S (I got the photo off of google because I didn't have any pictures of us trail running. That is not the bent creek trail.)

The Best Book Ever!

My most favorite book ever? Oh that's easy! Beside the Bible (the best book ever) It's the book I'm reading right now called Born To Run. As many of you know running (and football) are my favorite sports, I do them constantly. Anyway... The book is about this guy who can't run without pain. So he goes and searches for an ancient tribe of runners called the Tarahuma. It is a true story and so far a GREAT book. It makes me just want to go running so badly! It is a great book though. What is your favorite book?

There's 104 days of Summer vacation...

Do you know the rest? For our school there is about 84. But the important thing is SCHOOL IS OUT!!!!!!!!!!! Yes! 5th grade is over! Today we did community service, had brownies, and had an emotional end of the year prayer. It has been a good year... I loved 5th grade and I'm excited for 6th. But the only unfortunate thing about Summer vacation is... The lack of all my friends! I miss them so much over the summer... Some of them I will see this Summer. 1st question: Do you know the title song? 2nd: Do you like Summer?

The Antietam battlefield Tour.

While we were in Maryland for alumni we got to go to the Antietam battlefield. It was a long 4 hour tour. But I learned a LOT of interesting information about the battle of Antietam. We got to go into a super tall tower and look over nearly the whole battlefield. We also got to sit on cannons. I got a book about Antietam that has so many cool pictures and interesting stories. I loved going to Antietam. Have you ever been?

Alumni in Maryland

On Thursday May 6, We got to go to Maryland for my mom and dad's alumni. When we were there we got to see lot's of friends, eat tasty food, and skip a day of school. We stayed with our friends Sierra and Isabella. We had a great time at their house. On Saturday, after alumni, we went to lunch with Mom and Dads friends who had kids that were are friends. (The picture is of that.) I will tell you about the fun time we had at Antietam in another future post. I loved going to alumni. Have you ever been to an alumni?
